Mike Mortensen

Tourniquet

do you mind?

your strawberries bleeding

on my shirt and you

drip like vampire

If I want to look

like a stab

victim I will drive

to San Diego

for six dollars

a bucket

I can bleed up

and down

coastal towns

until I forget

what it is that hurts

I wipe my mouth

with my sleeve

how incarnadine

an orchid blooming

a wound
