Founded in 2018 by poet, Whitney Koo (formerly Kerutis), Gasher Press is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit literary publisher committed to serving the literary community by the means of opportunities in publishing, editing, and scholarship.
We want art that guts us with surgical precision.
Make everything useful.
Gasher Press sponsors an annual reading internship for emerging writers over the age of 18 interested in editing careers, as well as the annually offered First-Book Scholarship that provides monetary funds to an author submitting their first-book manuscript to small press contests and open reading periods. Our Bennett Nieberg Transpoetic Broadside Prize awards $1,000 to a single poem written by a transpoet. Most recently, in a response to the alarming trends of submission fees for digital journals, Gasher has launched its Writers Submission Fee Fund which distributes grants quarterly to writers in need.
Gasher Press does not discriminate based on gender, race, religion, regionality, or sexuality.
We reserve the right to remove any works by authors who do not represent the inclusive, fair, and just community that Gasher supports.

As a registered non-profit entity, Gasher Press relies almost entirely on volunteer work. We have the future goal to become a paying market both for our contributors and dedicated staff. If you would like to donate to Gasher Press to help us achieve this goal, you may do so directly through our PayPal or by contacting email@example.com to arrange a direct donation. All donations are tax-deductible. EIN 87-2532076
